Imagine being able to actually live in a state of calm- imperturbable, unfazed, and so grounded in your own sense of self that calmness permanently resides within you. It is very appealing and very possible.


Finding calm is a direct result of our response to any given circumstance. We can respond to our experiences with serenity or with panic, fear, and fluster. The latter options might be easier to choose but are infinitely more wearying.

So next time you are affronted by an unexpected situation, pause and remember to take a moment to abide and be calm.

I know that it is not easy when the outside world looks so chaotic, however it is a daily practice. Therefore don’t let the outside circumstances to get you  out of your center. Develop a practice to help you feel calm no matter what is happening in your life.
