Letting go is the most liberating feeling there is. You know exactly what it is you are supposed to let go. Perhaps it is a slender thread or even a whole closet full of grievances that will never reach a resolution. Cut the strand, release the tension, and let it go- either because they are too small to effectively grasp and untangle or too big to ever tackle. Holding on to these grievances will only bring you down. Let it go, and you will find that YOU are the one who is free.
Mantra Action: Exercise, during your meditation, clench your hands into tight fists on the inhale. Clench your muscles. Shrug your shoulders towards your ears. Scrunch your face into pinpoint features. Then on the exhale, relax it all. Roll your shoulders down your back. Open your chest. Release the tongue from the roof of your mouth. Relax your fingers, and let whatever you are hung up on fall to the floor. Then take a moment to notice how nice it feels when you are relaxed and when you let go of the stress.
Mantra Benefit: Your brain will follow your physical body if you let it. When you tell your body to relax, it will send cues to your brain to release the tension as well.
BE STILL AND KNOW: Be still and patient with yourself and with everything that life may bring, because being still enables you to know. Know that there is a higher power that is always there for you. I am still; therefore I know that all is well at this moment.
Mantra Action: Take time to be still, look within, and listen. Allow things to happen in their own time. Stillness is the path to serenity.
